Photography began for me with science. It became a lifelong passion for seeing the world differently.
My journey into photography started with a scientific and technical education, at a time when photography was still entirely analog. I learned the physics of optics, the chemistry of photographic processes and the precision of technical studio photography. Developing my own films and making prints by hand gave me a lasting appreciation for light, composition and the craft behind every image.
Although my professional path eventually led me into other fields, photography remained a constant companion.
Over time, my fascination with nature became an increasingly powerful source of inspiration. The raw energy of moving water, the clarity of an alpine winter landscape, the delicate structures of a flower or the extraordinary beauty hidden in the smallest details — these are the moments that continue to draw me outdoors with a camera.
I am equally fascinated by what people create. Historic European towns, weathered stone, quiet streets and contemporary architecture reveal their own forms of beauty. Light, geometry, textures and the traces of time can turn an ordinary place into something remarkable.
Today, digital photography and creative imaging offer possibilities I could scarcely have imagined in the darkroom. Yet the principles that shaped my earliest work remain unchanged: curiosity, technical precision, patience and an appreciation for the extraordinary within the seemingly ordinary.
Through Urban Stories, Wild Elements and Cosmic Visions, I explore different expressions of that fascination — from architecture and the natural world to imaginative cosmic compositions built from real photographs.
My aim is simple: to capture moments, forms and atmospheres worth looking at a little longer.
